Overview
If your visibility score is at 0% or the dashboard looks empty, it usually means the app hasn’t yet recognized your brand or source in any prompt responses. The app is still working correctly—it’s tracking and storing data—but there’s nothing to visualize yet.
There are two main reasons this happens. One is temporary and harmless. The other indicates you haven’t been mentioned in the data being analyzed. Let’s unpack both.
1. The system is still loading prompt data
When you first connect a source or start tracking, SearchParty needs time to ingest and process prompt response data. During this window, the dashboard might briefly display 0% visibility or appear blank.
This phase is uncommon and short. It usually resolves within a minutes once the system finishes indexing.
You can confirm the system is working by checking that prompt responses are appearing under your Activity feed, even if visibility hasn’t updated yet.
If this is the case, nothing is broken—your visibility just hasn’t caught up to your data.
2. Your brand or domain hasn’t appeared in any tracked prompts
This is the more common scenario. A 0% visibility reading often means that, in the prompt responses being analyzed, your brand or source simply hasn’t been mentioned or detected.
SearchParty’s visibility metric is calculated based on how often your brand, domain, or configured entities appear across tracked AI outputs. If your source hasn’t been detected yet:
You’ll still see prompt activity (because SearchParty is collecting it), but your visibility percentage stays at zero.
The app can’t attribute visibility where there’s no mention of your tracked source.
This isn’t an error—it’s an accurate reflection of the data so far. It tells you that, in the observed prompts, your brand hasn’t surfaced yet.
What to check
If your visibility has remained at 0% for more than 1 hour, it’s worth confirming that:
Your brand is properly configured in settings
You’re tracking prompts relevant to your brand category.
When those conditions are met, your visibility will automatically increase as your brand begins to appear in tracked responses.
Summary
A blank dashboard or 0% visibility doesn’t mean SearchParty isn’t working—it’s feedback. Either the data is still loading, or your brand hasn’t yet appeared in the prompts being tracked.
The fix is rarely technical. It’s about understanding what the data represents: visibility only rises once your source is seen by the model.
In short, zero visibility doesn’t mean zero activity. It means zero recognition—so the next move is to focus on appearing in more prompts, not fixing the dashboard.
